I have never personally taken a class with Kellee, but this presentation makes me wish I had. From the minute she began her lecture, it was clear that Kellee has such a passion for our field. The amount of patience and understanding that went into her slides, her verbal lecture, as well as her story-telling throughout the seventy-five minute class made it clear she was a seasoned professional both as a researcher and as a professor.

The only time I have come into contact with Kellee before this guest lecturing opportunity was on orientation day four years ago. Kellee seemed light, airy, and whimsical as she gave her introduction speech to the room of first years standing before her. It is very encouraging to have these guest lecturers in class, especially woman as successful as Kellee because it gives the female students in the class a bit of perspective on all there is to achieve in this industry as woman.

Though Kellee’s path may not be the one I choose for myself, teaching is something I hope for myself down the road. Listening to her lecture has encouraged me to keep pursuing all that tourism has to offer.
